Flights from Nassau and Miami come into Exuma International Airport. Exuma International Airport (IATA: GGT, ICAO: MYEF) is a public airport located northwest of George Town on the island of Great Exuma in the Exuma district of the Bahamas.The airport is home to mostly Props or regoinal jets, but some Canadian, and European Charters do serve the airport. Great Exuma is approximately 1hr 15 mins flying time from Miami or 40 mins from Nassau. U.S. Travellers are, of course, welcome to book your own flights with any airline you choose. However, as members of the Caribbean Villa Owners Association (CVOA), flights are usually cheaper when booked through them. From the UK, it's probably best to book online with American Airlines. When you book online enter (LHR) for Heathrow or (MAN) for Manchester and enter (GGT) for George Town, Exuma. You will actually fly from the UK to Miami, and then from Miami to George Town, Exuma. (Please be careful when booking, there is also a George Town in Guyana!) You have various flight options from the UK. American Airlines, British Airways and Virgin Atlantic all fly to Miami. With onward flights by American Eagle or Bahamasair. Virgin Atlantic and British Airways also fly to Nassau which, although more direct, does involve an overnight stay. Connecting flights are then with Bahamasair or Sky Unlimited.
